Who we are?
We are an innovative and unique school located in San Miguel de Allende, focused on promoting growth in all senses. We are a multicultural community that believes in developing whole learners and enabling them to appreciate life and the joy of it, while providing them with the academic skills needed to succeed and become autonomous. SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Social emotional learning (SEL) is at our heart, in order to help our community, thrive and grow in all senses.
Our programs are designed considering the importance of SEL and its role in becoming a whole individual and a better learner.
Academia Internacional provides a foundation for safe and positive learning, and enhances students' ability to succeed in school and life. We believe our students acquire the skills to make positive impacts in society and understand the value of knowing themselves and embracing differences.

CREATION & MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS
Our students become wholesome human beings because they grow in more than one way. We understand the importance of art and physical education to become wholesome students.
Our art program promotes expressing ourselves and furthermore, know who we are and how we connect with others.
Our community understands the importance of art in its different manifestations: promotes creativity, imagination and exploration. It is a bridge to connect students with their own culture as well as with the wider world.
CERTIFICATIONS
LANGUAGE CERTIFICATIONS
Our curriculum is bilingual in the primary years with more intensive instruction in English through middle school. Language Certifications are internationally recognized documents that certify their language proficiency and communicative competence, issued by an accredited institution. We offer our community standardized and rigorous certifications based on the Common European Framework, a key reference accepted and recognized by important institutions around the world.
LEARNING ABOUT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FROM AN EARLY AGE
17 Goals for People, for Planet
The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere. The 17 Goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which set out a 15-year plan to achieve the Goals.
Our students, as positive change makers, act upon these goals. Our school includes World’s Largest Lesson resources and projects, they promote use of the Sustainable Development Goals in learning so that children can contribute to a better future for all.
We are a My World Kids accredited school to advocate for Education for Sustainable Development and encourage the widespread use of the Goals.

In elementary school begins the formal process of building a strong, complete foundation to support a lifetime of learning. We motivate students beyond simply learning to memorize or remember, and toward applying knowledge in new domains, drawing connections among ideas, evaluating or challenging ideas, and additionally creating something completely new.
